Bright Green!

Everything went well at the Fracture Clinic you'll be pleased to hear.  Got registered, temporary cast cut off, x-rays, consult with surgeon and new cast put on all in under two hours.  I was impressed.  Surgeon said they would not consider surgery, but just cast it for 6-12 weeks, and keep an eye on it.  We go back in two weeks to have repeat x-rays, and possibly a new cast.

So it's not a serious crisis, but it is a d*** nuisance!  I will still be able to ride around town and get to the library and coffee shop, so nothing is lost.  I did choose a bright colour for the cast though - cost me $48.00.

  1. Very spring like color for your cast! Glad the appointment went well.

  2. Just like the song" The green, green grass of home". Much better than plain white, you'll need a heavy duty black pen for people to sign in!!!

  5. If you had to have a cast, it’s a nice looking one.

  6. Paying for the colour was probably worth it.

  7. Glad to hear that all went well and it's not too serious. Your cast certainly is colorful, we're both old enough to remember the white plaster casts that quickly became rather grungy and the stench when they came off.

  8. That is a bright colored cast. Good to hear that a cast may take care of the break without surgery. Yes casts are a pain in the butt...
