We`ve had two long gray drizzly days. The fine rainy mist just wouldn`t stop, and I wanted to work in the garden. It was a challenge to find ways to stay busy without getting soaked. But it provided wonderful raindrop photo opportunities (trying to look on the good side here!).
Patches of grass were trampled flat by the periods of heavy rain.
We have lots of clover and wild strawberry everywhere - in the lawn, the garden, and the meadow.
Many plants in the garden don`t hold the water droplets, or show them off well, but the soon-to-bloom peonies do, and the hosta leaves.
But it`s the day lily leaves that always seem to hold and display water droplets best. Amazing patterns.
I thought this was a leaf on the step at first, but it`s a bedraggled moth laden down with water. I thought it was dead, but tonight it is alive, and sheltering in a quiet dry spot for the night. Hope it survives.
Very nice macro photos, the moth is fascinating.
