It was actually a very bright beautiful sunny day here today as well, but bitterly cold, with minus 20°C and a breeze that made it much colder. We have another wind chill warning tonight; those seem to come when the wind chill hits -30°. I'm ready for some nice sunny and -5° winter weather!

Beautiful pictures. I love the fresh fall snow on trees especially on a sunny day but I am getting tired of the snow and cold and ready for warmth and sunshine every day (not that we get that even in the summer)
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! It must be so cold but I would like to see those snow scene in person. Here in my town, we rarely have snow.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I like the lines of the brown branches and trunks standing out against the snow. Hope it warms up soon!!
ReplyDeleteWe'll get the spring weather sooner than later. It will feel much better that we've had some cold nasty stuff.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, and through a camera's eye, maybe we see more of nature than without. The trees add so much to your scenes. Cheers, Jean.
ReplyDeleteNice! If you hadn't said it was morning, I'd say "Whose woods these are I think I know…"
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to see how the shadows change as we grow closer to spring.
ReplyDeleteThe snow covered branches are pretty. We are having a snowstorm now.. And I am so ready for Spring and warm sunny days.. Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteThose are really nice- not the usual blue-gray cast. We are below zero F here this morning.
ReplyDeleteWe were -20C here today, with a wind chill warning (and -29 yesterday, with a worse wind chill). This is even too cold to get out and enjoy it! Sooner we get some nice -5 sunny days the better for me.
DeleteOh, and glad you enjoyed the book!
ReplyDeleteSplendid pictures but you're welcome to the temperatures that produce such scenery.
ReplyDeleteToday is much like the one you describe, bright and sunny, but not quite as cold. I see a few bronze leaves hanging onto the trees in one shot. The contrast between the dark trunks and white snow is gorgeous, FG.

So lovely! Such beauty helps us to tolerate what we must endure during long winters.
ReplyDeleteI always favor tree photos, and yours are very nice. We had snow again overnight.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, nature's art!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. This winter has certainly offered lots of opportunities for shots of snowy landscapes...if you could brave the cold!
ReplyDeleteYou've captured those snow covered branches so well- I love that too!
