Rainy Days

On Friday we left Owen Sound with a very black horizon behind us.  We beat it back to Meaford, but later on another storm caught up with us.

You could see it coming like a wall of falling water across the golf course.

Soon it was thundering off our deck.

And overnight rains left water droplets on the plants.

And in the morning the gulls had returned to the golf course, as I expect they do every fall.  Another mark of the season.  And if you like the sound of falling rain, try this.

  1. The gulls even had to sit out with the rain. Your photos do depict a heavy rain. We have been have a few rain spells the past few days.

  4. Our rainy summer days are coming to an end. Won't see much liquid sunshine until April, or so. But we got more than our average rainfall, so I can't complain :)

  5. Great shots of a storm, both during and after. Your camera work is improving amazingly fast. :-)

  6. I actually saw that rain front going through your area when I checked Exeter's live radar feed Friday.

  7. On a calm day, rain is always pleasant. We had the same rain go through here a couple of times and then mostly a misty day.

  8. Oh, the sound of rain. Our entire area needs about 2 or 3 days of gentle, soaking rains. Thanks for sharing the video. I can almost smell the clean air.
