William, 1977-2015

Today 6 years ago our oldest son William was killed while flying his water bomber over a forest fire in northern Alberta, caught in a fire tornado.  I miss him more every year.

  2. William, your legacy of bravery with the water bomber planes, your memory and the huge love from your family will always be true to those left behind,

Time is too slow for those who wait,
Too swift for those who fear
Too long for those who grieve,
Too short for those who rejoice,]
    But for those who love,
    Time is eternity.
Fondest love to you and Mrs F G today especially.XXX

  4. I remember when this happened. I grieved for his loss then, and I still grieve today, along with many others who care about heroes like William gone too soon. :-(

  8. Gone far too soon. That William died doing what he loved can only be a small solace. My thoughts are with you and your family this day.

  13. I just started following your blog when you lost your son. I am so sorry for the loss and wish you comfort. I lost my first wife forty years ago and I still remember even when life moved on.
