McGowan Falls

About a week and a half ago, we drove down to Durham to see McGowan Falls.  The falls is right in town, where a bedrock ledge in the Saugeen River provided an ideal location for a millpond.  So there's now a dam immediately above the falls and you can watch the water flowing over both the dam and the rocky ledge.

The whole falls, mill dam and rocky ledges together.  A selection of closer views below.

  2. Yes the video worked and that is quite a picturesque little Falls. Been through Durham a few times many years ago but I don't remember seeing the Falls. If we manage to get ourselves another RV (smaller) we hope to maybe do a little wandering around up in that area and see some of those sights.

  7. I love going there every couple of weeks, just for more pictures of the same thing. :) I don't like walking on the bridge though. Silly me!

  9. There is a lot of water flowing through the area. Great shots. I can hear the roar of the water through them.
