There's been an outdoor rink in Harrison Park for decades. And a few years ago the Scenic city Order of Good Cheer funded an artificial ice surface. All summer it serves as an impromptu basketball court. But as we crossed it on our way back to the car, no-one else was there. I couldn't resist the chance to try out my wheelchair. Hope the video works for you.
Sure looks like you were having fun. What a great place for it.
ReplyDeleteThe video worked for me a sure looks you are getting around pretty good there.
ReplyDeleteEmpty Parking Lot Practicing - memories from different days. Good that you stopped and checked the speed and turning - you smiled in your video.

This is fantastic to see you there, to know Mrs F.G. can manage the driving and the ramp mechanics. What a grand place to have a spin in the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice ride. Good for you. - Margy
ReplyDeleteSo great that you are able to get out and about Stew. Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteLove that smile on your face!
ReplyDeleteAh, just a kid at heart. Good for you FG; enjoy the chariot, just don't get carried away -- and don't drive your new steed like some of the folks do down here. They run them at top speed on the sidewalks and are a danger to themselves and others. Your new "mobility device" will give you more freedom and the ability to go lots of interesting places.
ReplyDeleteYour wheelchair is speedy!
ReplyDeletei hope you didn't get a speeding ticket!! so very nice to see you outdoors!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying yourself.
ReplyDeleteI suppose it won't be long before you get a GoPro camera attached to the chair and treat us to some really hair-raising rides! (Sorry, Mrs FG for putting daft ideas in the old boy's head).
ReplyDeleteI smiled as I watched you playing around out there. You're getting pretty good! :-)
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteThat comes in handy for you!
ReplyDeleteWell that was a nice ride - so glad you could take us all along with you. You are such an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteHey I could see smoke coming off those tires. Wonder what she'll do in a quarter mile?? You might want to think about putting a roll bar and drag chute on that beast.
ReplyDeleteYou need one of those slow moving vehicle flags! Good to see you out and about! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in favour of the GoPro!!!!
