Picking up on Thursday's post we turned west into the afternoon sun glistening on the waters of the bay and followed the path.
But pretty soon we ran into the shoreline damage. I don't know if this is from last weekend's storm or last year's storm! At any rate after assessing it I decided to turn around. No point in getting stuck! At that point, looking out into the sound we saw a line of Canada Geese emerging behind the grass. They just kept on coming in a long straight line. Left me wondering if this is a family.
Heading back to the car we had a nice view through the willows - the original batch of geese we saw when we first arrived.
I miss the geese, not being by the lake anymore.
ReplyDeleteThey are probably a family, but who knows for sure? I like the water, the geese, and the reeds in the foreground. :-)
ReplyDeleteI posted some Canada Geese today also.
ReplyDeleteI don't think there will ever be a shortage of Canada Geese.
ReplyDeleteThe geese are amazing creatures, messy though they are!
ReplyDeleteYou've got a fair number of geese there. Flocks have been heading south over us for a couple of weeks, but the big push won't come until open water starts to freeze up your way.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to see these.
ReplyDeleteA lovely collection of photographs.
All the best Jan
I was wondering where our family of geese went! Maybe that is them! :)
ReplyDeleteThe first picture was gorgeous and then that mess on the shoreline. Makes me want to grab a street broom and clean it up! Take care, nice to see you enjoying the nice days while we can.
