Sunrise!

I was up early (briefly) one day last week, and caught this right outside the window.

In spite of the old saying, 'Red sky in the morning, sailor's warning', it was just another hot sunny day; no rain for ages now.

For those of you following along, the advice David gave me in the comments earlier this week, when I was suddenly getting hundreds of hits from Russia, seems to have worked.  The pageviews are back to a normal level, and those of you reading are primarily a North American audience.  Thanks David.

  2. That sure is a beautiful sunrise. Makes getting up early worth it.
My Russia visits stopped too but now the Live Traffic Feed from Feedjit doesn't work.

  5. Nice sunrise and how great to be able to see it right from your window. Because of all our trees here in Bayfield we can't see sunrises or sunsets.

  6. That's interesting. I would say red sky in the morning, shepherd's warning.
Perhaps this is purple sky in the morning, shepherds should pack a selection of layers for different weather?

  16. Wish I could send you some. We've luckily had rain every week or so this summer. It's still warm, but the forests aren't as dry and so far no bad fires like last year. - Margy
