This is a small bit of this year's garlic crop. It's been drying in the garage, still on the stems, for about 3 weeks. Now with the stems cut off and sent off to the compost pile, it's ready for cleaning up and storing.
Meanwhile, it's been a refreshingly cooler day here, with lots of wind as the cooler air settled in behind the front that went through overnight. The wind kept the clouds scudding fast across the sky all day. I took advantage of it to get back to some outdoor work; there's no shortage of it that needs doing!.

Same here, finally cool weather! Ahhhhh... :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the cooler weather, you have a good supply of garagey stuff I see.
ReplyDeleteGlad it's finally cooler there. Garden work is easier for sure.
ReplyDeleteYou with your word garagey stuff and me with my word on another blog of famhousey lol funny that . It was a lovely sunny with cloud day here to and the air was so nice and cool and fresh breezes , this evening is wonderful and cool out there actually a little on the chilly side but we are loving a nice break from the humidity and heat that's for sure . Nice photos . Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteMacro is fun. I haven't done any lately either Maybe I'll get busy and do a Macro Monday.
ReplyDeleteLove the garagey stuff. It is the real 'nuts and bolts' and the stuff of putting things together.

Hey, those are interesting photos of garagey stuff!
ReplyDeleteThose are in great shape! My FIL's place had shelf after shelf of quart jars of garagey stuff.
ReplyDeleteAmazing what diversions and sidetracks can get in the way of tidying up the garage! I must remember to take my camera next time I have to clear out the shed.
ReplyDeleteA handyman's dream, all so valuable when they are needed.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting series of photos!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Amazing how garagey bits and pieces in macro look so fascinating and artistic. Scenic sky and flowers in the last photo.
ReplyDeleteEspecially like those nuts and bolts pics. For we photo buffs it's always fun to step outside the box and turn our eye to something totally different from our often usual norm.
ReplyDeleteIt's so cold today! I traded my macro in for a new regular lens. I guess I don't miss it. Much... :-)

Hello, Cool images. We had a cold front move thru so we are finally feeling the nice weather. I love the last shot with the flowers and pretty sky. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm---after getting your garage all organized, can you come here and help us do some cleaning and reorganizing????? Our garage is BY FAR the worst area in our entire home/yard... Oh Well---there are just more important things... ha
ReplyDeleteGreat macro pictures. We are having a cooler day here today also (in the 50's early this morning). After a terribly hot summer, this is a welcome change, even if it won't last long.
Hugs,
Betsy
Sorry, I've got more than enough to do here! Even if I'd love a trip to Tennessee.
DeleteCreative use of your macro lens!
ReplyDeleteWe're getting the cool air today, though it was coming in last evening. I doubt that's the end of the summer though.
ReplyDeleteLovely yellow flowers. I think my hubby has so many bolts and screws that there are too many to sort through. So he just goes and buys what he needs.
ReplyDeleteSame with me! It's so much easier than hunting for what you might have someplace.
DeleteInteresting photos.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very nice cool, sunny day here today.
Macro everything and get a better view. I haven't gone off the beam for a while but I do find stuff that could make some weird compositions. Great shots you have taken.
ReplyDeleteNice macro shots of shiny nuts and bolts :) Our garage keeps filling up, getting emptied and filling up again. Depends whether one of our kids is moving out or moving back. Did taking photos of the stuff make cleaning up more fun?

50+ years later I still have some of my wife's grandfather's bolts, nuts, nails, hammer and band saw. The hammer and band saw have been used regularly, but there's no way I'll ever use all the fasteners (some are odd sizes that aren't made any longer) so maybe they'll go down to another generation -- or two.
