In some places it looks like the water flooding these fields will take so long to disappear that it will delay planting.
I'm sure some farmers will soon be frustrated at not being able to get out on the land.
Can't resist adding a photo from earlier in the month when we had our April snowfall.
And this one from the winter. It's almost unbelievable that we had 2-3 feet of snow on the level here, and it's all gone - though the stream down the watershed here is certainly roaring.

i can imagine the flooding! both seasons are beautiful in their own way, though!
ReplyDeletethanks for linking in!
Great photos. I really like the one of the April snow.
ReplyDeleteQuite a contrast with just a few weeks of time!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty scenes, even in the snow. Ours is pretty well gone here (our yard is bare) except the odd drift along the hedgerows and some snowbanks in parking lots. It's hard to believe it was as high as it was a month ago and now it's gone. Makes me happy. :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty scenery.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors in your first shot. Yes, it's amazing how much changes in a month's time.
ReplyDeleteGreat fence photos... I especially like the ones with snow piled up all around them. BUT--I'm sure you are GLAD that your snow has mostly all gone...

Betsy
Goodness no wonder you had flooding with all that snow melting. I'm not sure which is worse, the snow or the water. Hopefully you'll be all dry soon. Great shots though.
ReplyDeleteThe fences look good with snow and water around them.
ReplyDeleteI do hope the planting season doesn't start very late this year!
ReplyDeleteI really like your fence shots - especially the first two!!
ReplyDeleteWith all that snow I guess you have to expect fields of water for a while.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos.
I have been seeing many flooded field lately, mostly due to the couple days of rain we had.. Your photos and scenery are pretty. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteA lot of very wet places here too. But I don't think anyone is worried quite yet.
