Would you believe more ice?

Two days later we stopped by the harbour as we left town.  It was a sunny, and the ice was amazing.

I wasn't the only one taking pictures!  There was a steady stream of locals stopping by the shore to photograph the ice.

  1. That last shot is my favourite. Having that fellow in the one shot reinforces scale.

  2. Third photo down reminds me of a tall masted sailing ship of old. Mother Nature certainly is a mighty fine sculptress.

  3. Frozen as it was blown onto the bare branches. The one man was so muffled up, a wonder he could find the buttons or controls to use his camera. Maybe by remote!!!

    1. No, this is ice splashing up on the rocks and trees on the shoreline. The waves are regularly strong enough to hurl fist-sized rocks 30' onto the shore.
