Lunch with the Cousins

A wonderful lunch with 4 cousins and their spouses and my sister today at the Black Birch near Orangeville.  I can't remember if we've ever had lunch like this with this group.  All too often we've only seen each other at funerals in recent decades.  One cousin even came from Halifax.  Maybe we'll do this again next year!

  2. Such fun to get together when it ISN'T a funeral. I'm looking forward to hooking up with a gaggle of mine in Peterborough sometime in November.

  3. A great time to get together, and enjoy rather than think of the one who has gone. When family members live far apart, down here it seems funerals are the way to gather together. That trip from Halifax was a long way, and well worth the travel for sure.

  4. It's good to break bread with family when times are good. We get together with H's sister and her husband (who was my best friend in high school) a few times each year to eat and mess about in boats -- some great times.

  5. I last saw members of my extended family at a reunion in the summer. It is good to get together for happy occasions.

  7. Sounds like my Dad's family. That's about the only time we all saw each other. Glad you had a good lunch and time together. - Margy
