The landscape is back to white!
In Meaford the waves were rolling in and the sky was blue.
But the sediment-laden Bighead River was still pouring into the Bay, with blue water only to be seen in the distance.
The wetlands were still very wet, but had a different look when iced in white.
The water has subsided a little here, and the sediment is gone, but the water is still high.
And those brave, hardy Pasque Flowers are still blooming, sticking up above last night's snow.
Our Crocus,Snowdrops and Iris have all disappeared below the beautiful blanket of white, but the Pasque Flowers bloom on.
That's our world today!

The weather has been unusual. I guess this will be the new norm.
ReplyDeletePasque flowers, are they a sure sign of spring? Beautiful photos of all the water, the snow, and the backgrounds in the distance.
ReplyDeleteGrey County? White County, more like.
ReplyDeleteIs winter throwing out a last minute blast? Bet you can't wait for it to thaw out there
ReplyDeleteWell at least the sky is blue!
ReplyDeleteNice to see those Pasque Flowers ...
Thanks for sharing
All the best Jan
Hello, pretty images and a lovely scenic view. I feel bad for the flowers and trees, this weather has been crazy lately. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteWell, spring is fickle, isn't it? I love the fluffy clouds in the sky, and better (warmer) days are ahead! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sight it is, too. Here the snow seems to have stayed to the south- we've had cold temperatures and sunny skies.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Mother Nature played an April Fool's joke on you! It sure is pretty though.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, winter just won't llet go.
