It wasn't just along roads that I noticed winter shadows, fences sometimes also created striking patterns,. And sometimes when I was snowshoeing along a trail through the woods I would come across an interesting pattern of shadows.
On a big cattle farm, this was a pretty serious fence to maintain, but it casts neat shadows .Not exactly a fence, but there's an old fence buried in there somewhere, overgrown with shrubs that are creating these beautifully curved drifts.
So nice to see those interesting shadows!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the beauty of a shadow, FG. So much beauty if we are open to it.
ReplyDeleteThe shadows are lovely in winter.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are just stunning! That blue sky is pretty nice too. We haven't seen that in a while.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful fence photos!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos; we haven't had many shadows on snow this winter, it's just constantly cloudy.

ReplyDeleteYou must have good memories of when you took those very interesting shadow pictures as well. Love that second, "higgledy-piggledy" fence. One wouldn't necessarily notice it until the sun accented it with shadows, turning it into something beautiful. The wind is a marvellous sculptor, and can turn ordinary things beautiful.
Good theme, FG.
ReplyDeleteQuite the difference between the two fences. Wonderful photos.
ReplyDeleteThose shadows are sure interesting to look at. When driving the intermittent flickering in my eyes of the sun and shadows I find quite annoying.
ReplyDeleteYou have some lovely pictures!
