Guess What!?

If you guessed right we got another snowstorm!  It never stops, and just builds up and up and up!  I watched the guys who came to shovel our front sidewalk, the snow was a foot deep again!  We're missing a lot of care-giving shifts because of the poor visibility for driving caused by the blowing snow.

Yes the snowstick is buried deeply down below that drift in the lower left!

When I look out the front window all I see is snow, I'm guessing 3-5 feet deep over our entire front yard and 7 feet deep beside the driveway.  This morning the fire hydrant finally disappeared from view.

Now I'm going to go back 10 years and see what other interesting photos I can find from past winters for your amusement.

  1. It's been quite the storm! Stay warm! Sorry about your caregivers... I had to do the driveway as I worried about getting out in an emergency.

  5. For many years I thought it would be magical to live where there is winter snow, but the reality is, that dream has been shovelled away, a bit like your massive snow bank. And the older I become, the more practical I get.Your snowfall is remarkable, has it been as much as this in other years? Thanks for your comment . even down here we are affected by all that's happening up north.

  9. Oh fudge, that's far too much snow. Surely it has to stop soon.

  10. Surely somewhere in our future there will be days without so much snow!

  11. Could you send some of that down our way -- please! We haven't had more than two inches on the ground at any time this winter, and now it's mostly ice at the house. Our son was recently telling me of an avalanche team that was 12 feet down in snowpack not far from their place. I haven't seen snow like that in more than 30 year.

    1. I`d love to send you some snow Woody, before it melts (sometime in June!). Our creeks and wetlands are going to be full this year!
