It's March 21st, the spring equinox here in this part of Canada, so that makes it the first official day of spring. Nonsense! We woke to a late gasp of winter not spring, and it's still snowing as I write this. I understand the solstices as a reason to celebrate, but the equinoxes are relatively meaningless in my books.
Never-the-less, spring will come - eventually!
It is snowing here in Toronto too but so far it has been melting on the ground.
ReplyDeleteOh my! That is a lot of snow.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile in my part of the UK we've had more rain, everything is very soggy!
All the best Jan
Happy Spring. One day soon the weather will catch up to the calendar. :)
ReplyDeleteThe same up our way. I checked my weather journal and it appears nothing is out of the ordinary.
ReplyDeleteI figured that would happen but fingers crossed by the time we cross the border on the 14th of April, it will only be a memory for you. :)
ReplyDelete'Eventually' is the key word here. Looking ahead at the 14 day forecast I see that the weather will begin to again swing towards Spring Monday with temps over 40F.
ReplyDeleteWell, spring is on the way, even if not so much in your area.
ReplyDeletei remember this view from the past and the snow is so pretty!! spring will come but for now, enjoy the snow!!
ReplyDeleteWe've had some dustings but really have no accumulation. It is darn cold again. though.
ReplyDeleteWe are looking for snow in a couple of days as well as rain too. We will take the moisture anytime. Your back yard was like an April Fool.
