We're pretty well ready for Christmas, with all the major things done. The cards and flowers have been sent, the big parcel has been mailed and arrived out west - faster than we expected, and the tree is now up and decorated. We switched to a smaller table-top tree last year; the big one was just too much to handle.
There are a lot of decorations left over when we finish with this tree!We have a nice collection of small nutcrackers - who have never been used for cracking nuts, but look colourful! The turkey is in the freezer and our son and his wife will come for late Christmas lunch on Christmas day. Just a few little things left to do, like a couple of gifts I have for Mrs. F.G.
Lovely tree! And I like your collection of nutcrackers.
ReplyDeleteI just have a small tree now too since I have no place to store a large one. Love your nutcracker collection too.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYour lovely tree has a perfect shape.
Your tree looks very nice. We have switched to smaller table top trees recently too.
ReplyDeleteA very Merry Christmas to you and your family.
God Bless You.
One of my cousins is quite fond of nutcrackers.
ReplyDeleteI love your tree, and the nutcrackers are so delightful. I hope you have a great Christmas holiday!
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice tree. We've talked about getting a smaller one but decided not this year.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and Mrs. FG .
The tree and nutcrackers are lovely. I went with a table top tree a couple of years ago and I certainly don't miss the big one. Now I just have to get real and give away some of the extra ornaments.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your family time!
I really appreciate your professional approach. These are pieces of very useful information that will be of great use for me in future.

You made your small tree very attractive. Enjoy the holiday.
ReplyDeleteMrs F.G. secret wrappings , lucky you, I still have to choose mine from Hugh!!!! Love your tree and the men below.
ReplyDeleteSmall trees are just as special as big trees. We've learned that too. ♥ I love the nutcrackers too, we have a family of 8 (I think) in varying sizes.
ReplyDeleteWe've always had a real tree but have talked about having an artificial one in the future -- we'll see. H and I wish the two of you a Merry Christmas and a very good 2022.
ReplyDeleteI am still sticking with my large tree. I have so many decorations, many of them presents from friends, and I don’t think I could decide between them if I had a smaller tree. But it is SO heavy. We store it in the attic and this year I was really grateful step-son came round and offered to carry it down stairs for me. I invite a few friends round every year to help me decorate. In January I will drag it slowly up the stairs in three parts. A lot of effort for not much time but the lights are so pretty and we need all the cheerful decorations we can get just now. The neighbours like our tree too.
ReplyDeleteWe're just about ready too, and our pre-lit tree is even smaller than yours.
ReplyDeleteI have a small collection of nutcrackers too. You’ve got some beauties!
ReplyDeleteNice bunch of Nutcrackers! Merry Christmas to you!
ReplyDeletei like these smaller, tabletop trees. i have 2 but would like one in every room, the hubs does not think that is necessary!!
ReplyDeletei don't know of anyone who uses nutcrackers to crack nuts, they are really to pretty and special for that!!
your tree looks great!!
