Country Views

Yesterday, while driving through the icy, foggy landscape between here and Meaford, I took my telephoto lens, and tried to capture some pictures of those distant country views I sometimes see - spots where you can see across several fields, with fencerows and sometimes barns, in the foreground, and distant fields in the background.

I like these distant views which suggest to me further and further places you could go and explore.  Perhaps it's an unconcious memory from my childhood, when my dad took me walking through several old farm fields back to the creek where he used to fish as a child.  The last two have a greenish colour because they were taken through the windshield.

All this foggy ice and snow is gone now, after a bright sunny day today, and more on the way.

  1. It is amazing what we sometimes do not see with the naked eye but using a Telephoto Lens brings our world into a better line of focus.
