Relaxing for the afternoon after a busy holiday weekend full of adventures, trying to see what I could capture in the close-up lens. Turned out to be a variety of interesting things in the yard - few words needed.
A Bug - Bald-faced Hornet
A Flower - Yellow Coneflower
Leaves - Variegated Rudbeckia
Spores - Polypody Fern
Seeds - Goatsbeard
Check out other macro shots at:
Great shots! It is fun to see the close-up of the wasp particularly and the spores on the Polypody Fern.
ReplyDeleteFabulous photos! I like the yellow coneflower.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful choices for using you macro lens!
ReplyDeleteVery fine macro shots! I especially love the softness of the seed pod. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove these all! Oooo... how I had a decent macro lens. Beautiful shots, especially love the leaf shots with the spores. I love polka dots. =)
ReplyDeleteThese are terrific macros! I have lots of those hornets in my garden, they are quite handsome. I am hoping for a new macro lens for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI love the snake, but the wasps are starting to get to me! Great photos!
ReplyDeleteCheers from Cottage Country!
All cool photos. The spores are so evenly placed on the leaf - its polka dotted : )
ReplyDeleteYou are brave with the hornet shot, and it looking right at you. I would have to be 2" away to get that shot. I'm growing the variegated daisy, I hope mine blooms, the leaves are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind comments. Glad you enjoyed the results of my relaxing afternoon in the yard.
ReplyDeleteI think the coneflower is just lovely!
