Saturday turned out to be bright and sunny! And the same thing happened on Tuesday! It's the downslope of winter here as the gloom fades away and the sunshine returns. Now I can revert to posting about what's actually happening, at least close to the current date.
The first thing I noticed were the shadows. although of course with the almost snowless winter we've been having they aren't as bright as they might be.
Tree trunks and blue skies, those are striking examples of nature at its finest. Snow, yesterday I met friends over from BC, for a NZ holiday trip, they say there has been little snow there this year, they live near New Denver.
ReplyDeleteWe have been experiencing little snow in the lowlands, but plenty in the High Country. At least I think so, I haven't been paying close attention. We have partly cloudy skies most days.
ReplyDeleteWe are on the rise heading into Algonquin Park, so our snow is hanging on a bit more. It sure has been nice to see sunshine again. It will soon be mud season! The birds and squirrels are very active. It's time for romance in the wildwoods.
ReplyDeleteWe're back into the gray, dull days with snow on the ground. Hopefully the sunshine will be back soon. Enjoy your lovely weather!
ReplyDeleteWe had a pleasant walk this morning. Thursday. Still on sidewalks and not in parks, but nice anyway with the sun warming us up.
ReplyDeleteSunshine makes all the difference!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe sunshine was glorious. We are all craving it this year after the grey winter we have been having.
ReplyDeleteLove the sunshine and shadows and what a wonderfully blue sky.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Nice to see your crane again. Spring certainly is on the way, I saw the first chipmunk of the year today.
ReplyDeleteNice to see the whole snow heron!
