'Iceberg Alley'

We've stopped down by the shoreline a couple of times as we've had a sudden Feb. thaw.  Today the bay looked like a mini 'Iceberg Alley', with broken off slabs if ice floating by.

And this, we suspect, is a young Bald Eagle.  A terrible picture  but it was larger than any hawk silhouette, and the right colour of feathers.  Anyone care to agree or disagree?

  1. You'll no doubt have the waters choked with ice again. I see slabs like that just downstream from the Chaudiere Falls- the waterfalls churn up and break up the river ice above and send it downstream.

  2. No idea about the bird. I do love to see ice breaking up, even if it's temporary! :-)
