Back to Winter

Thanks for staying with me while I went back to pictures from Parkwood in late summer.  Sadly, coming back here with me now means we're deep in the heart of winter.

The view out back hasn't changed much in 3 weeks, though it varies from bad to worse.  I heard a teacher say students have missed 20 days school since Jan. 1st.  Exams have been postponed and school buses have stayed parked.  On several occasions all roads in and out of Meaford have been closed.  Sensible people just stay home!  Never-the-less, I'll see what I can find in the way of photos to share with you.

  1. And we've got a real cold snap coming by the end of the week. This has been a brutal winter for so many of us. Anyway, I'm just glad that you are keeping these posts a-comin'. :-)

  2. It is much the same here. We have had no shortage of snow.

  4. After seeing some of the Ontario road crashes on Jenn's blog link, I would stay home.

  6. We're already having days in the 90s. But a low humidity 90s...so nice.

  7. Yes it's still looking a lot like winter alright. I guess it takes the bad weather to really make us appreciate the good weather when it finally arrives. So many things in life seem to be geared that way.

  8. Never fear, spring is on its way. Today I found skunk cabbage up in a wetland and there were vultures overhead. Since you're further north it will probably be a couple of weeks until those signs of spring appear in and around your area -- but they're on their way.
