Long day here, but we're down to a final list of changes needed at home. The vendor came today and spent two hours measuring and discussing options with Mrs.F.G. She's exhausted. I think having to make all these decisions is one of the more stressful things we need to do. After awhile your brain just goes fuzzy.
I can imagine. Get your rest.
ReplyDeleteYour lady deserves a great big hug -- I'd say vacation but that will have to wait a while. Hopefully the renovations to your house will be done by the time you head home.
ReplyDeleteNow a 'fuzzy brain' is something I can directly relate to. You will have to obtain a leaf from that 'Tree of Heaven' and report back to us if it as smelly as it is reported to be.
ReplyDeleteIt has to be exhausting for Mrs. FG. Hope she gets some rest and that everything is sorted out soon.
ReplyDeleteIf a leaf falls from the Tree of Heaven let it be!!! Mrs F.G.,... anything like this is so stressful, tiring and a worry to say the least. After Hugh's heart attacks, and the next year his spinal surgery, I had to do a LOT. But nothing compared to your amount. Just take it a day at a time, and when F.G. is home, with adequate help, and no travel for you, surely it will be easier. I am thinking for months you have not been able to put your mind to anything else, so a heap of hugs for you too. Can you eat cake now?
ReplyDeleteIt seems as we age and encounter all the joys of being older the curves life throws our way are a tad more difficult to navigate. Being the one to be the go to person is stressful. May you both be surrounded by the support you need.
ReplyDeleteI don't do decisions. That's why I keep the missus around... :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting about that Tree of Heaven. Nice that things are coming together for you
ReplyDeleteLove the name of that tree, it just sounds peaceful, doesn't it? Too bad about the smell.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Mrs. F.G. will be relieved to have all the decisions and changes made and happy to have you home soon. :)
Hello, I hope Mrs G will have some rest when you get home. Prayers for both of you, hoping for a smooth move. Enjoy your day and week ahead!
ReplyDeleteThat certainly seems like the Tree of Heaven, they grow in lots of parks and gardens in the UK. There's been calls for them to be banned as an invasive species recently as they secrete a poison which kills off their competitors. Glad that things are taking shape at home, though I can imagine that all the decisions must be exhausting.
ReplyDeleteWishing both you and Mrs. FG some peaceful rest-time.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
