This Time Winter is Back

We weren't really expecting it.  There was no big storm warning, just some gentle snowfall.  But it went on for some time, and often it was snowing heavily, so we ended up with about a foot of new fallen snow.  The world outside looks white again.  Winter typically comes and goes like this here in Grey County, especially at this time of year.

A fresh blanket of snow over everything.

Our crane is back to thinking it's an Ostrich, our best measure of the snowfall here.

  1. Goodness, it may not have stormed, but you sure got the snow. I get a giggle out of the crane every time it features in the snow photos.

  3. How pretty. I'm wondering about the crow silhouette at the top of the first photo. It surely isn't a live bird...is it?

  4. Very attractive. Perhaps should re-name it White County, at least for the winter :-)

  5. The stuff sure piles up. We are losing ours with rain between more sprinkles of snow. We haven’t seen the sun for more than a week. And winter is only starting.

  7. I would be like that crane and bury my head if that came with no warning. It does look beautiful though.

  9. Yes the best way for us to see snow is in a picture. So happy we are down here in Arizona.

  10. Winter has also come to us. It's unusually cold ( for us) and snow falling with more to come.

  12. So much snow! We have some on the ground, too, but I don't know how much, from my warm bed inside my apartment. Looks like a lot, though!

  13. Surprisingly, we still have some on the trees from last weekend. I guess the whole of southern ON may be getting more soon or over the weekend.

  14. I don't mind seeing pictures of the white stuff, but glad I'm not having to feel the cold of it all.

  16. Absolutely beautiful! The only bad part is that it probably has you trapped in the house for a while.
