Our trusty garden crane (now ostrich) has been working overtime as a snowstick, and the snow is piling up. Thought we should take a quick look before returning to Scotland. It's bitterly cold here, at -21C (-6F), with the windchill pushing it to -30C, but it's supposed to be just above freezing most of next week. Crazy winter!

ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty amazing change in just a few weeks! Stay safe and warm, friend.
ReplyDeleteAmazing change in the snow. It is similar here this year!
ReplyDeleteI put a coat on Gibbs when it gets below 40F/4C. Shouldn't Mrs. FG be knitting shimmering for your crane? Even a beanie?
ReplyDeleteIt is a great way to measure you snow fall. The one where it is almost totally covered is showing that you had quite a snow fall. We are going to be warm for the next 7 days.
ReplyDeleteFor pity's sake man, bring the poor thing indoors!
ReplyDeleteThe crane makes a wonderful snow stick. Hopefully the cold air moves on quickly and you get more seasonal temperatures soon. After several days in the deep freeze we're supposed to reach -2C today. With, of course, more snow. :)
ReplyDeleteYou really did get hit with the snow ... moreso then S. Colorado has had. Our weekend is to be in the low 60s. However, we are not done with winter just yet!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of snow!
ReplyDeleteThat bird does a great job as a snowfall indicator. Betcha you never thought of that when you bought that feller.
ReplyDeleteAhh snow -- We may have had a total of about five inches all inter in just two snowfalls. The first was before Christmas and lasted for a while, our last one melted quickly -- winter ain't what it used to be!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to mark snowfall. Assuming snow can be fun. 😀
ReplyDeleteIt makes a great snowstick!
ReplyDeleteQuite a difference.
ReplyDeleteThe windchill the other night here had it around -40.
