Summer is passing far faster than it should, and our Day Lily season will soon be winding down, so let me share some of these beautiful flowers at the peak of the season. Can't beat them for colour!
Great flower photos, and I loved them all. Our Day Lilies are about done for the season. Only a few are left here and there. It will be another long wait for next year's colorful Day Lilies.
As I have said before you have such a variety. Ours are all of a similar hue. Right now, I am procrastinating about going out and picking the spent blooms.
Glorious colours, and if only for that one day, they surely have the stage all set. My friend many years ago grew them commercially, and when it was time to dig and divide, her husband used a huge machete to cut the roots . I hope yours can be cut more easily.
Yes, as we age there are geological and astronomical phenomena -- the hills grow both taller and steeper; and the earth orbits the sun more rapidly. Just amazing!!! Your daylilies are beautiful, ours are already done for the year.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Our single variety just opened on July 27 so we'll see them for a few weeks yet. But you aren't wrong about how quickly summer is passing.
