The world here is coming alive with colour, and a few green leaves can't be far behind. It's still the Daffodils that are the highlight for me, but there are a number of other flowers coming into bloom.
Clustered around our Birch tree are a number of Hyacinths, one of the most fragrant plants in the garden. We have both pink and blue one, and they both, along with a Daffodil or three, ended up in a small bouquet beside my computer the other day.
Beautiful photos, thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers and I know that your house smells heavenly with that bouquet containing Hyacinths.
ReplyDeleteSure is a pretty time of year. Always wish the spring flowers would last longer.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your photographs, the spring blooms are lovely.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Lovely - I think you're getting a little 'cocky' with all those happy daffodils! haha, just kidding, still wishing for my one first bloom!!
ReplyDeleteThose beautiful pictures show that Spring has finally arrived.
ReplyDeleteStay Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
What a beautiful time of year it must be in your garden. The Daffodils, Hyacinths, and Scilla must be filling the air with the most delightful fragrances. I can almost picture that unusual tulip standing out amongst the blooms! The Peony and Bleeding Heart emerging are exciting signs that the garden is in full swing for spring. You have such a wonderful variety of flowers—it's truly a feast for the eyes. I look forward to hearing more about your garden's progress, and you're always welcome to check out my latest post when you have a moment.
ReplyDeleteYour way is still somewhat more advanced that our way. But then you are slightly farther north and closer to the bigger lakes. After living in Sarnia for many years, I still think of your region as north.
ReplyDeleteI love all the colour! Our peonies will be a few weeks later than you, but I'm happy to report there is green happening here and a wee flower too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
I just noticed that our ferns are opening up.
ReplyDeleteI can never decide which scent I like better....Lilacs or Hyacinths. Both are blooming here now and I have some that have been brought indoors. The scent is almost overpowering.
ReplyDeleteComing along, FG! I bet that was an amazingly fragrant bouquet.
ReplyDeleteYour garden has come to life so quickly. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for you!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colour! I've been checking for peony shoots, none yet. Things just went nuts with two warm days and a night, up to 25C yesterday, but this AM it is -3C...I won't clear off my beds until temps. stay 10ish, to protect the overwintering bees and bugs. Saw my first garter snake yesterday...it was gorging on a toad......
ReplyDeleteYou have lots of blooming beauties! The best is yet to come with Peonies and Bleeding Hearts!
