November always seems to bring rain and cold. I don't mind rain, though it keeps me inside, and I don't mind cold - but not cold and wet together! I always looked forward to winter, once things are frozen, but of course now that I'm in a wheelchair I have to change my assessment of the weather - if the forecast turns out to be accurate!
And on top of the wet for the last five days, the forecast does show some of that white stuff for later in the week. It's late for us, but I see by your blogs that places like Maryland, 500 km. to the south, already have snow.
A few years ago I read a blog from a lady who was at the South Pole for a year. She said there were two ways to describe the weather. Cold and VERY cold. And that is what our grandson says about Mackenzie a fair way north of Vancouver. -20 yesterday, your time.4 layers so necessary when you are standing outside for the whole day. Frozen raindrops are like pearls, so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI remember in the midst of winter, preferred snow over rain because it was cleaner. It also wouldn't always freeze when it hit the ground.
ReplyDeleteYou stay warm and dry. It's a damp kind of cold out there!
ReplyDeleteI love that picture, it does look like pearls gracing the tree.
ReplyDeleteWe are scheduled for snow later in the week too. Over two weeks of rain has been depressing!
ReplyDeleteOur rain stopped and snow started. It was time I guess. The days of November are gloomy here in Minnesota, better now that it snowed....I saw blue sky one day this week...:)
