We had a brief bout of freezing rain today, but the temperature was rising rather than falling so it wasn't too serious. Thin ice on branches and a few inch-long icicles have all melted now, 4 hours later. Another illustration of our fickle up-and-down spring weather.
On the Redbud right outside the window, and ...
Such pretty droplets! At least it was not snow:)
ReplyDeleteThat redbud will look very nice within the next month!
ReplyDeleteYou folks must have been a few degrees colder than we folks south of you. We got the rain but no ice.
ReplyDeleteThe frozen drops of water made pretty pictures but I'm sure you were glad to see them melt away.
ReplyDeleteIce can be so damaging. Glad to melted quickly. Makes for good pictures though.
ReplyDeleteIt was very beautiful, and not too bad as it was short lived.
ReplyDeletetypical spring weather with many changes while the mix of cold and warm air fights.
ReplyDeleteUgh, it was snow over here on the fringes of Algonquin. We didn't get as much as they forecast though, so thank goodness for that at least.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that it didn't hang around. The earth is just in transition to a spring that we really do want to have.
ReplyDeleteIce storms can be outstanding beautiful. I understand that most people don't like them because they can also bring problems, nut like "bad" weather in all it's forms.
ReplyDeleteWe had a very wet storm that won’t leave much behind as we warm up.
ReplyDeleteSomething we rarely see, though it was forecast earlier this year. We changed our clocks to British Summer Time last night so the weather could do anything in the next week or two!
ReplyDeleteUp and down everywhere. That's the weather this year.
ReplyDeleteI'll take the dusting of snow over a freezing rain, but I'd prefer the warmer temperatures.
ReplyDeleteWow I have never seen rain frozen like that!
