The garden continues to intrigue me, though it has slowly been fading, and has been subject to two major clean-up days so far. The trees above are still green though, and there are a number of flowers still adding their colour to the back yard - yellow, red, orange, purple and more.
Our yellow rose continues to amaze us, blooming away as if nothing is going to stop it. It's the healthiest looking plant in the garden at the moment! This is the bright red bloom of a Canna Lily, of which Mrs. F.G. has several.
There are still numerous bright Cosmos.
I must have taken 25 shots trying to get a bee to show up clearly. Trouble is they keep on vibrating!
And my top favourite, the Cleome, which did not appear until September.

Ahhh, how nice to see flowers at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI am impressed with the longevity up your way. I guess we are a smidge colder here in Eastern Ontario.
ReplyDeleteIt always amazes me how nature always puts on a show at the beginning and end of the season, that we can all enjoy.
ReplyDeleteStay Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Good to see you till have flowers and lots of color in the garden. Except for mums, and marigolds our flowers are done.
ReplyDeleteYou've still got many blooms at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteGreat color still! U envy you the cleome. I never have luck with it anymore.
ReplyDeleteYour garden is absolutely gorgeous! Love the pics!
ReplyDeleteThat yellow rose is a looker! Gorgeous. We have a lot of green leaves remaining too though the change started early this year.
ReplyDeleteWow, the yellow rose is incredible!
ReplyDeleteI have cosmos too, but haven't been outside this morning just yet to see how things are doing a we dipped below freezing last night. The car windows are covered in frost, so I suspect the garden will have taken a hit. It's too cold to go out there. :p
I love that your garden flowers are still blooming. I only have Dahlias and Sedum but that's okay. The frost would kill anything else, I think.
ReplyDeleteYou managed that bee picture perfectly! Mine wasn't as clear.
Yellow roses are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteYou still have quite a bit of colour in your garden. Next year I must sow Cosmos again. For years they self-sowed but none came up this year.
ReplyDeleteOh those yellow roses are so pretty. Excellent shot of the bee!!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your highlights of the garden!
ReplyDeleteYou've still got some lovely blooms and very nice colour in the garden.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
That yellow rose is just stunning!
ReplyDeleteI have some phlox that have decided to bloom at this point of time.
