As I said, I ended up with lots of pictures, so here you go. I was initially attracted to the solid colour tulips, but I surprised myself becoming entranced with their mixed plantings. I kept trying to think 'How did they do this?' It still seems quite amazing!
You know me and bright colours! There as even a windmill in the distance. Note the pathways between the rows. I found these fields totally accessible, and my chair did not sink in the sand at all. It was very encouraging.
I enjoyed all the solid colour plantings, but then I started getting intrigued by their mixed colours.
How did they do these? There was such an even distribution of the different colours all the way down the row.
There are some multi-coloured Tulips here, yellow and red, but there are also different coloured Tulips, white, red and yellow.
Planting those bulbs, what a mammoth task. But the walkways are so wide, and on sand, it must be well compacted so you didn't sink down. I wonder if they dig up the bulbs at the end of the season, sell them, or save for next year. Stunning colours and so many shades.
ReplyDeleteYour tulip photos sound simply wonderful—there’s something timeless about the way nature’s colors blend so beautifully in a garden. It’s inspiring to see how tradition and care bring such magic to life. I just shared a new travel post. I am excited for you to read it. Thank you. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the mixed beds look very appealing indeed.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear that you were able to navigate your chair among those beauties!
ReplyDeleteI'd be heading straight for those red guys in the first two pictures. Absolutely stunning!
They are breathtaking. I'm partial to the red ones!!!
ReplyDeleteJust wonderful. I have seen our tulips come and go, so it's nice to visit yours once again.
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty, candy for the eyes! Thank you for going and I am glad the outing was good for you and your chair!

ReplyDeleteI love tulips so I enjoy your photos.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! It’s hard to pick a favourite colour!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! The flowers and the photos. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe tulips are incredible and my favorite is the 5th photo with the burgundy, pink and orange. I have no idea how they create the colour combinations but they are stunning!
ReplyDeleteour tulips have come and gone so i really enjoyed seeing yours, it's hard to "not" fall in love with every color. we have a similar farm here that plants them the same way. i used my zinger chair and made out real well. one year when i went, they weren't crowded so they gave us a private tour in a golf cart. the place we visit also has a windmill...all the people are so nice.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! I like the pink purple orange mix best, I think, but all are just fine. What art!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThat would be so fun to visit. I love natural colors and the color mixtures are over the top.
