We've had snow for quite a few days now, and it hasn't melted at all, so it just piles up. Snowbanks are beginning to form, and our snowstick is close to disappearing. Meanwhile I'm wondering what to write about this winter other than showing you more pictures of snow!
This is the view out back, pretty familiar to you I'm sure. We have about a foot of snow.
Out in the golf course, the branches of the Sugar Maples catch the snow.
As do the branches of the spruce.
Right here the snow is piled quite deep on the planter.
And the red chair is pretty well covered.

The white blanket is doing quite a job there.
ReplyDeleteDon't apologize for the snow pictures -- I love them! Then they make me want to watch videos with titles like, "Man Shares Home-built Cabin with Dog During Snowstorm."
ReplyDeleteLove the heron snow stick. The snow sure is pretty.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I don't think it's done yet. Looks like freezing rain moving into yours and other surrounding areas tomorrow. 10 years ago it was -24. A year we decided to travel south when we retired a year later. 🤣
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! The snow-stick is very close to disappearing!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Boy, that is a lot of snow. And not melting, I guess. Here we will be up in the 50s and 60s this week, just bizarre.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind seeing your snow pics at all. I just enjoy whatever you write.
That's a lot of snow to deal with.
ReplyDeleteLots of snow up here in the Ottawa Valley too. It has been very cold but it looks like we are in for a January thaw.
ReplyDeleteI love the snow! How dumb is that? We used to get snow here in the PNW of the USA, but the weather has changed and we hardly ever get even a blush of snow anymore. I like that red chair photo. That would be a really cool place to sit. :-)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy snow pictures. I enjoy snow, too, but only for a week. I wonder if we'll get any this winter!
ReplyDeleteIt’s nice enough to see from a dry, warm place, but granddaughter took 2 hours to drive home from uni yesterday. Personally, I am rather liking winter at this point of the year. As it marches on, I may not feel quite as kindly disposed.
ReplyDeleteAt the moment I think we are beginning to experience the beginnings of an early January thaw. Oh, how I welcome that. We seem to have about the same snow level you have.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of snow! We had a lot at once before Christmas, but since then my daughter says there hasn't been a whole lot. I just know I'm grateful to be away from it.
ReplyDeleteWow, a foot of snow! These pictures are so pretty. I love the snow resting in the trees. Really lovely.
ReplyDeleteThat is so much snow. I don't remember seeing that much down here for a while. I love seeing your snow pics.
ReplyDeletehehehe, you sure do have a lot of snow. you know i love snow BUT in your situation i am sure it makes getting out more difficult. i am in the same boat with posting. we have not been out, it's been too cold and there is not much to do. we were going to see a movie today but there was nothing we were interested in seeing. you have written a lot of wonderful posts...try going back in time on posts you have written that may spark a creative idea. i think that is what i am going to do. all this puttering i have been doing is not very interesting!! good luck!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of snow. I never see that much snow unless I go up in the mountains around ehre.
