You may have noticed 'Achy Back Aceres' showing up among my comments, so I thought I'd introduce you to this remarkable place. We've been stopping there for seven years, since I became paralyzed; it's a great source for fresh local veggies in season, just down the road.
The only advertising they do is this sandwich board where their driveway hits the highway, half-way between here and Owen Sound.I usually just stay in the car, as it's a bit of trouble to unload and load me, but this time I got out to get some pictures and say hello. Onions were the first thing I saw on the table.
So if you're ever passing by, stop in and pick up some fresh veggies, or a bit of the best garlic around here (It's also the best price).
Cute name for a Family Business.
ReplyDeleteHaving done home gardening as well, the name was proper.
Stay Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Love the name of that farm. The garlic is huge. Their produce looks and sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteGolden Zucchini, I must see if we can grow them down here. I like them grated and used in loaves. Or muffins. What a grand place, and what a true name.
ReplyDeleteVery appropriate name for a gardening spot. Great prices too.
ReplyDeleteSecond comment, we do have those seeds, 20 for NZ $6, You would want to have a good sewing success. They are on my list for this summer sewing.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great name and it looks a fantastic place ... lovely produce.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
What a wonderful place!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for such a wonderful article about us! It’s always such a pleasure to see you and Mrs. F. G. coming down the driveway…we love talking with you both!
ReplyDeleteI just ate dinner, but oh my word I'm hungry again! What great photos of a great presentation of luscious organic vegies. Thanks FG .. I'll be heading out locally here in the PNW of USA to find anything similar.
ReplyDeleteIt’s a unique enterprise. I’m glad you made the effort.
ReplyDeleteCertainly can relate to the name of that farm! Long ago, I picked beans for a commercial grower.....8 hours in the hot sun....50 lb bag after 50 lb bag....
ReplyDeleteThat garlic looks wonderful. I was amazed to realize it's been seven years already. I'm sure it seems longer to you.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so good.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful vegetables! Great photos, FG. That garlic looks huge!
ReplyDeleteTheir prices are amazing! No one at the farmer's market in the city sells for those prices.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
Looks like a great place to stop and shop!
ReplyDeleteLooks similar to the berry farm near here where they also sell some veggies. We also have a renowned vegetable stand where they sell vegetables that the family grows -- but they've recently modernized and enlarged their sales facility and now sell a lot of things they don't grow themselves.
