As you know, I enjoy riding around town, though I don't go far. But the other day I saw something interesting, and I thought I should get some photos for you other than those of our own garden, so here they are.
Right around the corner is a home with a thick band of Daisies in front. I've never seen so many Daisies in one place! And in many locations around town I see these gorgeous hanging baskets. They are one thing the town does well. This one was outside the arena.
I've always liked this mixture of yellow and pink blooms, Day Lilies and Echinacea, that I see outside one house. I talked to the owner one day and learned that his wife had died, and the garden was her doing, but he was proiund of them and was trying to maintain them.

All of those different flowers are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThat is a most wonderful bed of daisies, and the yellow daylilies and echinacea go so well together. I don't know if I have ever seen a yucca plant. Our town does well with hanging baskets, and I saw some nice ones in a tiny rural hamlet yesterday, out Bancroft way. I was somewhat surprised at that.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for sharing these floral delights.
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful array of daisies.
All the best Jan
I agree about the daisies, never seen a full garden of them before!
ReplyDeleteOur town hanging baskets are beautiful too. I see the young town staff watering them every day during these hot days so I know why they are so lovely.
Very pretty flowers! It’s poignant that the widower is looking after the garden.
ReplyDeleteIt is always rewarding when the eye seeks out beauty and colors. A photographer's eye, perhaps.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers! Glad you are able to get out and about.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos! The yucca is something I've never seen in bloom.
ReplyDeleteThat Yucca is stunning and a hanging basket that is overflowing, your street outings show there is always colour round every corner.
ReplyDeleteLots of beautiful vegetation in Meaford!
ReplyDeleteOh these are all so pretty. When we lived in town I had a whole mess of daisies in a garden. The new people that bought our house mowed them all down and planted grass!!!!
ReplyDeleteYucca! Thank you! I have them in two spots around my home and neither my neighbors nor I knew what their name was. When I moved here six years ago, there was one stalk, but I kept feeding and watering it, and this year there are four stalks ... happy. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe pink hanging basket is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThat is my fave, as well.
DeleteBeautiful series of photos! I especially love the pink hanging basket!
ReplyDeleteYour town has some lovely flowers. What a treat to see them as you go about.
