The White Stuff!

Well, it had to happen sometime.  The temperature dropped and the white stuff came down, covering the ground.  It's only two or three inches deep yet (a far cry from last year!), but it's white.  And it stops me going for rides, though I can get out on the driveway well enough to load up into a vehicle.

Our crane sculpture/snow stick is doing what it's supposed to.

This is the view out back.  You'll probably get tired of seeing this view by the time winter is over!

It's a challenge picking out things to illustrate the snowfall.

But my favourite is to photograph the distant branches covered in snow.

How much of the white stuff do you have by now?
We've had more snow since these pictures, but only a little.

  3. Here in town, there is about 3-4 inches on the ground, about two of which came down earlier today. There was just a skiff in the city, and none in Yuma. :p
Like you, I really like the photos of the snow on the branches. At least it is the light fluffy stuff.

  4. We have too much snow to suit me. Oh well!

  5. We had three inches, but some of that has melted and some has sublimated so now there's only about an inch on the ground between bare spots.

  6. Brrr it looks pretty but rather cold!
I always enjoy seeing your crane sculpture/snow stick, and yes, it's now doing what it's supposed to.

No snow in my part of the UK but we have a Storm warning for heavy rain and strong winds.

    All the best Jan

  7. That snow looks so pretty but the downside is that it keeps you from getting out and about. Needless to say No snow here.

  8. We only have a couple inches here, but it is quite cold. Expecting another storm this Friday, I think
I think we all have certain things/places we like to photograph. Looking forward to seeing more of your favorite view.

  9. I love those branches with snow on them. And, no, I will probably never get tired of your views of the snow since we almost never get snow here anymore in western Washington State, just sayin'. Snow, we want snow! :-)

  10. The tree outlined against white, perfect shot. And from down here where I have only had snow on our lawn twice in my whole 85 years, I never get tired of your snow pics.

  12. Snow-covered branches look great. We have snow but perhaps not as much as you at the moment.

  13. We have no snow in London, you won’t be surprised. But it has been incredibly wet recently, and super windy. Every day it is so windy that my climbing rose is being blown off its trellis. This never used to happen. It never used to be this windy. I don’t understand how people won’t admit that climate change is a thing. It’s definitely a thing in my front garden.

  14. It will be fun to watch how much of the heron gets buried this year. :)

  15. Our White Stuff has been coming and going most of this week. Unfortunately, we might have four inches by morning.
Stay Safe and Enjoy the changing landscape.

    It's about time.
