Before we got to the corn maze, we needed to check out the gourds and squash too. Mrs. F.G. picked up a few of these. Then we hit the corn maze. Believe it or not, neither of us had ever been through a corn maze before, just a sunflower maze! So it was fun!
These were just little gourds, used mainly for fall decorations.
But these were squash for cooking. Known as 'Heart of Gold', these are like Acorn squash.
The tractor was just for decoration, but it did tempt us over closer to the corn maze.
And there was a big welcoming picture frame, except I ended up in the shadow.
And then we disappeared into the maze.
Here I am. It was fun, but the bumps were a little uncomfortable, so we didn't explore every corner!
Hope you've all had a Happy Thanksgiving ( at least here in Canada).
We met our son and DIL at a restaurant in Owen Sound, saving Mrs. F.G. the cooking.

Corn mazes are so much fun.
ReplyDeleteThose acorn squash don't look like the acorn squash we get, wonder if they taste different. I've never been through a corn maze (a maize maze to folks across the Atlantic).
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs, that corn maze looks fun.
ReplyDeleteHappy Canadian Thanksgiving.
All the best Jan
Don't feel bad Furry, I've never been through a corn maze either. At the risk of sounding 'corny', I might have to put it on my buckey list. Hmmm, I wonder how exciting a beanfield maze might be:))
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you got to go in the maze!! :)
ReplyDeleteNow that looks like a good time! I want to go to a corn maze too. Have never been!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteOne of the fun adventures of autumn! Great photos!
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to navigate the maze in your wheelchair. I sure enjoyed tagging along.
ReplyDeleteWe did a corn maze a couple of weeks ago, like you, I'd never been through one. It was definitely fun!
ReplyDeleteYou had a nice day for it too.
I was thinking that riding through the maze might have been uncomfortable, and you confirmed it. Good on oyu for managing it.
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine, had a phrase: “You’re out of your gourd.” I am not sure how he came up with it.
What a great place to visit, tall corn, a game, and a family meal together, sounds like a perfectly wonderful Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI like that big red tractor! And yes a "maize maze" as another person commenting here wrote. Glad you got out of that maze/maize alive. Scary stuff.
ReplyDeleteOur neighbours did this, but stopped. It is a fun time.
ReplyDeleteYes, too bad about the shadow, but a fun time for sure.
We’ve never been through a corn maze either - looks like fun!!!
ReplyDeleteI've never been in a corn maze. Nor have I played Tic Tac Toe with 2 colors of mini pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteI’ve only been through a corn maze once, and that was on a drizzly day, so I was glad to get out of there. I’ve been through sunflower mazes a few times and they were nice.
ReplyDeleteI walked corn for years as a kid to cut out big weeds but I too have never been in a corn maze. Our cor is all mature and being picked right now.
