The fallen leaves are really painful to step on with bare feet.
Also I read somewhere there is more genetic diversity in monkey puzzles in the UK than in its native Chile. Not sure how true that is but it doesn't sound good.Georginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13232154028235485600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1315509519261683441.post-76260337075547701412016-02-07T19:19:06.601-05:002016-02-07T19:19:06.601-05:00Beautiful photos ! My uncle over in England was part of the gardeners competition they had and held each year and his gardens won 5 years in a row , he used to tease us over here cause all his spring blooms would be up whilst we were still buried in snow lol ! My mum was also an amazing gardener both flowers and veggies . I love the English gardens always soo pretty and interesting . Even though the plants are tiny and dense, you've got to love their determination to grow in such harsh climates. Interesting about the vegetable gardens in the trenches. I wonder if they were successful. The rock garden reminds me of one in Hamilton at the RBG. I believe it's reopening this year and I'm hoping to visit to see the improvements.
WendySeptember Violetshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10931133319044031928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1315509519261683441.post-31907999403617957432016-02-07T08:31:04.530-05:002016-02-07T08:31:04.530-05:00What an amazing gardens! I spy a sculpture by David Goode who had some of his work displayed at Hatfield House when I visited (http://bystargooseandhanglands.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/the-great-british-sculpture-show-2014.html). I've stayed away from the Chelsea show for many years - you can actually see it better by staying home and watching on TV!John "By Stargoose And Hanglands"https://www.blogger.com/profile/00832873074550725579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1315509519261683441.post-24283290847096513242016-02-06T23:57:48.892-05:002016-02-06T23:57:48.892-05:00So nice to see flowers in the winter! So nice to see flowers in the winter!Pam https://www.blogger.com/profile/05979446142128610261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1315509519261683441.post-13386776847473539322016-02-06T20:35:54.091-05:002016-02-06T20:35:54.091-05:00How wonderful!
