You have a lot of variety of things being bailed. I had never heard of the mixture balling but it does makes sense. My dad had the old fashion square baler that required having lots of sons to help pick it up and stack it. I hated making clover hay. L. I grew up in dairy cow country and have always admired dairy cows in the field, but more and more just see beef cows now. I wonder if the "less work" is the attraction there. What I do wonder is if the farmers prefer the round bales to the now old-fashioned small rectangular bales that would fit inside the barn loft. Of course the danger of hay heating up and burning down your barn is avoided with keeping it all outside.September Violetshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10931133319044031928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1315509519261683441.post-39081445160849045642017-08-17T08:42:12.274-04:002017-08-17T08:42:12.274-04:00Well, I learned something in this post. My Dad was also a farmer and I remember my brother helping to heft the rectangle bales of hay onto the wagon and then up the elevator to the barn storage. When needed Bruce would go up and toss them down from their neat piles.<br />This talk about grain also confirms why we, as people, don't need to eat grains. It is nutritious for cattle and was never grown for human consumption. :) My belief anyway.Patsy Irene (Chillin' with Patsy)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17023685247825134744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1315509519261683441.post-12059619630238284202017-08-17T06:04:34.107-04:002017-08-17T06:04:34.107-04:00Thanks for clearing that all up for us, the life o...Thanks for clearing that all up for us, the life of a dairy farmer is never dull, my brother in law is always busy either in the fields, feeding or milking the herd.our awesome travelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13031755671050584629noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1315509519261683441.post-49112648577168549592017-08-17T05:36:07.988-04:002017-08-17T05:36:07.988-04:00You know I always wondered what they called them I...You know I always wondered what they called them I though Rounds or Round Bales but you still get farmers throwing out the normal straw or hay bales over hereBilly Blue Eyeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12053172567806569702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1315509519261683441.post-76359343751395720232017-08-17T03:03:36.839-04:002017-08-17T03:03:36.839-04:00Well you certainly can't build a straw bale ho...Well you certainly can't build a straw bale house with these big round things.
