Everyone thinks that their lovely pooch is not a problem and when I ask them to leash their dog the reaction I get from some of them would make a sailor blush. But rampant dogs have destroyed rare orchids in areas off limits to their owners and have caused ground nesting birds to abandon their nests. Even on certain trails where dogs are excluded completely their owners simply ignore the signs and it is rarely that I do not encounter at least one person walking a dog out of bounds.David M. And yes any fence has a whole lot of work behind it. I remember WAY back in the 1950's or so. I held a large hammer or similar behind the batten when my Dad put the wires on with staples.
