We're in the middle of growth and change in the garden. Daffodils are finished, the leaves just building strengh for next year's flowers. The Primrose are nearly finished too. But other plants are growing fast! Hostas are virtually exploding out of the ground with their big leaves and our first Peony is in bloom, as well as several other plants.
This is the first of the Peonies to bloom, out in the front garden in full sun. It's the very unusual Fernleaf Peony. I love the deep red colour.I think the name of Coral Bells is most appropriate at this stage, when the tiny blooms haven't really opened yet.
This is an Azalea, but I don't remember it being so white last year.

Bleeding Hearts are so pretty. I love all the flowers.

I notice that my hostas are also growing apace!! My Leopards Bane is done for another year as are most of the primroses.
ReplyDeleteA pink wheelbarrow, that's a different backdrop, might be good if upright and had a quilt draped for a photo shoot. Love all those flowers. gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteEven through the transitions of Spring, your garden brings colour to your home.

It's about time.
Oh look at all those beautfiful flowers. I had hoped our peonies would be open this week, but we're now cool and wet so I'm thinking maybe next week. The ladybugs are having a heyday on the plants.
